Over the years, SAGES has grown from a society of 50 members to a society of over 6,000 members worldwide. Through its evolution, it has become what is currently considered one of the world's leading authoritative bodies for innovative technological surgical advances - specifically in minimally invasive and endoscopic surgery. In conjunction with industry, academia, and partnering surgical societies, SAGES strives to continually endorse both hands on and didactic training and guidelines for educating surgeons in the United States, and throughout the world, on minimally invasive and endoscopic surgical techniques. Now that SAGES is a mature society, we would like to give back to the worldwide surgical community.
